Visit to Syria

From 13th to 16th of March 2010, Cluster Manager Mr. Nikola Pavković visited the Syrian Arab Republic as a member of the Croatian business delegation.
During the visit, Croatian Minister of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Đuro Popijač, has handed the Letter of Intent on co-operation in the field of humanitarian demining to the Syrian Deputy Prime-minister for Economy, Mr. Abdullah Dardari.
During separate meetings, the Cluster Manager has met with high ranking officials and officers of the Syrian Army. The main discussion topics were the requirements of the Syrian Army and Cluster capacities in terms of services and products in the demining field.
Important contacts were established with representatives of Syrian companies and other companies that are interested in Cluster’s activities during the Syrian- Croatian business forum, where over 100 representatives of Syrian and Croatian companies were present.
