CROMAC-CTDT Ltd., was founded in 2003 in Sisak.
The Centre conducts:
• operative testing and operative evaluation of new technologies and methods; for mine fields detection; for reduction of mine suspected areas; and for detection of mines and UXO, • introduction of advanced methods of decision support, determination of state of an area and increase in quality of spatial information.
According to the customers’ requests and requirements CROMAC-CTDT Ltd. conducts
education of work-site managers, team leaders, employees working on elaboration
of demining projects and employees working in monitoring of demining
operations. urthermore, the Centre conducts training for all levels of mines and
UXO disposal, and raining of deminers on the use of metal detectors.
According to the customers’ requests and requirements CROMAC-CTDT Ltd.,
through a special programme, conducts a reparation of managers in mine action
for missions in foreign countries.
The Centre is accredited in accordance with the European norm HRN EN 45011:1998 for certification of demining machines, metal detectors, mine detection dogs, protective vests, prodders and helmets with visors.
At its own test-sites, the Centre provides to donors, manufacturers
and end-users testing of demining machines, mine detection dogs
and techniques of mine and unexploded ordnances (UXO) detection.
The Centre disposes with three test-sites:
1 Test-site Cerovac
• Performance and survivability testing and certification of demining
machines (three test lanes with different types of soil in
accordance with CWA 15044)
• Testing and certification of mine detection dogs and handlers
• Conformity verification of metal detectors
• Training of deminers on the use of metal detectors
2 Test-site Benkovac
• Testing of hand-held mine detection systems and vehicle-mounted
systems (MD, GPR, dual sensors)
• Training of deminers on the use of metal detectors
3 Test-site Škabrnja
• Testing of biosensors and vapour sensors
• Testing and certification of demining machines and mine detection
dogs during winter
