Geofoto LLC is a Croatian company which began to operate on 1993 in Zagreb. Beside the headquarters in Zagreb, companies are established in Ljubljana, Skopje, London, La Paz, Oslo, Orašje, Belgrade, branch in Osijek and sister company Infomax in Zagreb.
The main activities of the company are aerial survey, digital
photogrammetry, cadastral survey, production of topographic and cadastral databases,
design and creation of geoinformation systems and solutions and digital
cartography.
Company Geofoto produced for Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC) a web portal, i.e. mine information system portal, https://misportal.hcr.hr/ which began operation on 25th February 2009. MIS portal enables all Internet users to review the mine situation in Croatia. Mine suspicious areas (MSA) and the signalization for MSA are displayed on various topographic maps (even on the 1:25000) and for authorized users on DOP of high resolution (1:2000 / pixel 20cm).
The portal consists of three components, created for different user categories:
Public component- of the system is made for the wide public, Authorized users- have access
to a specific functionalities which enable insight to the attribute data sending requests to
obtain official documentation on the status of mine suspicious areas and exchange data
about space or/and plan demining of specific areas and Administrative component- of the
system is used for administration of the entire system.
MIS Portal is the logical upgrade of the implemented Mine Geoinoformation system, which Geofoto built in 2007, which is the central point for comparison and spread of accurate information related to mines as well as update and management of the registers necessary for all processes for demining. In addition, it ensures quality planning, preparation and implementation of general and technical view, exclusion of mine suspicious areas, production of projects for humanitarian demining and supervision during the project, final control and issuing certificate of mine cleared area.
